Ingredients

  • 1 (9 inch) frozen pie crust
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 ½ cups milk
  • 1 (8 ounce) package shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 (8 ounce) package diced cooked ham
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon dried chives
  • 1 pinch salt to taste

Cooking Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Place pie crust on a cookie sheet.
  2. Beat eggs together in a mixing bowl. Add milk, Cheddar cheese, ham, butter, chives, and salt; mix well. Pour into the pie crust.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 35 minutes. Increase oven temperature to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) and bake until top is slightly browned, about 10 minutes.
For added taste, substitute half of the ham cubes for bacon and voila--instant ham, bacon, and cheese quiche!
