Apple Recipe ⇝ Carrot, Apple, Cucumber, OJ, and Turmeric Smoothie

A juice similar to this was being sold at the San Diego Earth Fair. I prefer whole foods so I reproduced it as a smoothie. It's very refreshing and has a bit of tang.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups orange juice
  • ½ large cucumber
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 apple, cored
  • 4 ice cubes
  • 2 leaves kale
  • ½ lemon, juiced
  • 1 tablespoon flax seeds
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon ground turmeric

Cooking Directions

  1. Combine orange juice, cucumber, carrots, apple, ice cubes, kale, lemon juice, flax seeds, chia seeds, and turmeric in a high-powered blender; blend until smooth.
