Our family does not care for whole wheat bread but we do care about our health! This bread is a good balance between taste and healthiness.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup lukewarm water
  • 1 ½ teaspoons active dry yeast
  • ½ cup oat flour
  • 1 ¼ cups bread flour
  • 1 ¼ cups white whole wheat flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted

Cooking Directions

  1. Place lukewarm water, yeast, oat flour, bread flour, white whole wheat flour, salt, 2 tablespoons melted butter, and honey in the bread machine in the order recommended by manufacturer.
  2. Cook on the setting for a 1 1/2-pound, whole wheat loaf setting. Brush top of bread with 1 tablespoon butter before slicing.
Whole wheat flour can replace white whole wheat flour, if desired.
