Ingredients

  • 5 eggs
  • 9 ounces creme fraiche
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 14 ounces smoked salmon, chopped
  • 1 ½ cups shredded Gruyere cheese

Cooking Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a tart pan.
  2. Combine eggs, creme fraiche, parsley, chives, salt, and pepper in a bowl and mix until well combined.
  3. Line the greased tart pan with puff pastry. Spread smoked salmon over the bottom, followed by Gruyere cheese. Pour egg mixture on top.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven until eggs have set and puff pastry has risen and browned, about 45 minutes.
